Condition: Lined, drying cracks, craquelure, minor retouch, minor varnish inconsistencies.
N.B. A letter detailing the painting's conservation from David W. Kimball Art Conservation is enclosed in an envelope affixed to the backing.

Framed dimensions: 21 3/4 x 27 3/4 x 2 in.
Some fluorescence, which may be old varnish or broadly bushed retouch to the background in upper left quadrant, to the proper left side of the dog's face; with a few small dots or retouch to the ink well.
