The painting has minor surface grime. Very finely applied minor retouch in the clothes of all three men, with some dots below the left eye of the man in tan leaning over the table. There are small abrasions from the frame, including one that is to the left of the signature, and a tiny nick at the base of the right table leg. Fine craquelure overall. There are some unknown stamps on the reverse, including one of the head of a dog (retriever-type) holding an anchor suspended from its mouth and two stamps from an unknown exposition that are too blurred to read.
