Venetian Doorway. Faintly signed "Eugene Vail" l.r., with a label from A. Guinchard, Paris, affixed to the stretcher. Oil on canvas, 25 3/4 x 21 1/4 in., unframed. Condition: Surface grime, scattered pigment loss, a few scattered areas of flaking, 1-inch horizontal puncture with pigment loss to u.r. quadrant, wear to edges.
