Tiger Maple Salmon Red-painted Fall-front Desk, probably New Hampshire, late 18th/early 19th century, with stepped, valanced, multi-drawer interior centering a pinwheel-carved fan, the case of cockbeaded graduated drawers on bracket feet centering a carved demilune fan pendant, brasses appear original, original salmon washed surface, ht. 50 3/4, wd. 41, dp. 20, work surface ht. 37 in.
Note: Back of desk bears date "1805" in red paint.
