Rock Island U.S. Model 1903 Bolt-action Rifle and Bayonet, early 20th century, serial number 244725, .30-06 caliber, walnut stock, blued steel fittings, receiver marked "U.S./ROCK ISLAND/ARSENAL./MODEL 1903./244725," barrel marked below the front sight "RIA/5-17," and a 1906 dated bayonet with canvas covered scabbard, barrel lg. 24, overall lg. 43 1/4 in.
