Description:
Two Pairs of English Petal-base Candlesticks, probably Birmingham, England, third quarter 18th century, with scalloped drip catchers, petal and disk knops, and lobed petal bases, ht. to 8 in.
Provenance: The shorter pair from the Brimfield Antique Show, August 1975; taller pair from T.D. Williams, Litchfield, Connecticut, September 1975.

The taller pair has lead solder reinforcing on the underside; one of the shorter pair has a very small repair to a lobe on the socket.
