Description:

Poljot Two-day Ship's Chronometer, c. 1983, no. 20119, 4 3/4-in. screw bezel enclosing the silvered arabic numeral dial marked "Poljot/20119," with up/down indicator, and subsidiary seconds, Geneva stripe decorated plates, free-sprung helical hairspring with spring detent escapement, housed in a brass-bound two-tier box.

Note: The design of this chronometer is based on the German "Einheits Chronometer" built for the German navy before and during WWII, mainly in Glashutte/Saxony. After WWII the Soviet Army had the remaining machinery, tooling, technical drawings, and parts shipped to Moscow.
