Condition: Relined, the man with retouch to his face, the woman with minor retouch.
Provenance: Portraits found on Staten Island, New York, owned by a descendant, Ida Dudley Dale; Sotheby Parke Bernet, February 2, 1979, Lot 577; Robert Anderson, Frenchtown, New Jersey, September 23, 1981.
Note: The Martlings lived in Tarrytown, New York.
