Colt Model 1894 Army Double-action Revolver, c. 1895, serial number 52261, .38 caliber, walnut grips with "R.A.C." inspector stamp on the butt, marked on the bottom of the frame "U.S./ARMY/MODEL/1894," with U.S. Army number 138261, left side of the frame marked "R.A.C.," and the left side of the barrel marked "COLT. D.A. 38," bright bore with strong rifling, barrel lg. 6, overall lg. 11 3/4 in.
