Ceramics
Skinner's July 2010 auction of Fine Ceramics features the Wedgwood collection of Joe Skirchak and Pat Cerra. Encompassing the full breadth of Wedgwood’s manufacture, the collection numbers approximately 350 lots and includes many fine examples in jasper of all colors, a wide selection of black basalt, queen’s ware, earthenware Peace plaques, Thomas Allen decorated Shakespeare chargers, and wares by freelance and studio potters. Other auction highlights include 18th century Wedgwood and Bentley period oval plaques, a collection of reticulated Royal Worcester, Belleek porcelains, Wilkinson toby jugs, and Royal Doulton. Held twice annually in January and July, Skinner’s Fine Ceramics auctions are renowned for their vast array of English ceramics, fine English pottery, and Wedgwood -- much of it coming from private and institutional collections all over the world. Fine Ceramics are also offered in Skinner’s Americana and Discovery auctions. For more information on buying or selling ceramics at auction please call 508-970-3278 or email Ceramics@Skinnerinc.com
