Religious Conch Shell Shankha, Tibetan China, 19th/20th century, clad in silverwork decorated with foliate scrolls and animals, done in shallow repousse with chased and punched details, the conch incised with the "Eight Buddhist Treasures" in roundels, six beads of coral, turquoise, and glass along one side, two loopholes with rings on bottom and shoulder, ht. 8 in.

tarnishing to silver, heavy surface dirt to some areas, natural cracks and minor surface scratches to conch.
