Description:
After Norman Rockwell (American, 1894-1978)Set of Four WWII Freedoms Posters, including Freedom from Want, Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Worship, and Freedom from Fear, c. 1943. Certificates of authenticity from the Centaur Sculpture Galleries affixed to the backing. Lithographs on paper, sight sizes 27 1/4 x 19 1/2 in., each framed. Condition: Several posters have slipped from hinges, not examined out of frames.
Provenance: Citizens Bank, Providence, Rhode Island.
N.B. The posters were originally published by the Saturday Evening Post and eventually printed by the U.S. Government to encourage Bond purchases.
