Plain White-glazed Dish and Ding Bowl, China, 16th century or later, dish with gradually flared wall and slightly flared rim, grayish white glaze with blue tint, unglazed well and foot, white clay with some oxidized red freckles, brushed character mark, guo (state) to hollowed-out base, conical bowl shape softly curving inward toward the rim, with distinctive cracked-ice crazing with color variations from bluish white to creamy brown, the interior well slightly sunken and encircled with unglazed band, unglazed rim and foot with hollowed-out underside, a brushed character mark to base, dia. to 6 1/4 in.
