Model 1867/71 Prussian Artillery Officer's Pickelhaube, c. 1870, black-painted leather shell with brass fittings, brass scales on the chinstrap, black leather liner, with a label written in French inside the front visor noting the capture of the helmet on November 11th, 1870, during the Franco-Prussian war, ht. 9 in.

some crackling on the painted surface of the helmet, liner is intact, and the helmet is in overall good condition.
