Blue and White Teacup and Saucer, China, 19th century, the gently lobed saucer with barbed rim, the interior central reserve depicting butterflies amidst flowers and plants growing from rocks, surrounded by six panels of dense foliage, birds, and blossoms, the exterior with leafy, floral sprigs, base with four-character Kangxi mark in a double ring, dia. 4 7/8, the teacup with similar decoration, the smooth walls rising to a slightly paneled body and scalloped rim, with a wave-pattern border along the mouth, base with four-character Kangxi mark in a double ring, dia. 3 in.
