LAWRENCE PAT/APRIL 12TH 1859., left side lightly marked C.SHARPS PAT/SEPT. 12TH 1848, top of the barrel near the breech marked NEW MODEL 1863 and in front of the rear sight SHARPS RIFLE/MANUFG. CO./HARTFORD CONN, barrel lg. 30, overall lg. 47 1/2 in.
