Federal Inlaid Mahogany and Mahogany Veneer Sideboard, possibly New York, c. 1800, the top with elliptical center and concave ends with stringed edges on a case of one bowed central drawer and two recessed, hinged cupboard drawers flanked by three drawers and one faux drawer front, all with crossbanding, stringing, and inlaid fans, on square tapering legs, (imperfections),ht. 40 1/2, wd. 71 3/4, dp. 25 1/2 in.

Refinished. Minor scratches and wear to top. Brasses replaced. Minor pitting and losses to string inlay throughout. Interior of center compartment stained. Break and repair to proper right drawer midway between fan inlays on proper right seam. Similar break and repair to proper left drawer midway between fan inlays on proper left seam. Interiors of both drawers patched accordingly. Chip and loss to veneer on upper right corner of proper left drawer. Chips and losses to veneer throughout, with pitting on legs consistent with age and use. minor veneer loss to the top edge and the corner of one drawer, minor inlay loss as well, two front legs are replaced and the remaining legs are pieced from the upper cuff down
