Georgian Mahogany and Boxwood-inlaid Slant-lid Desk, with brass pulls and dovetailed drawers, on bracket feet, opening to reveal eight pigeonholes, seven assorted small drawers, and one cabinet with key, together with a two-door bookcase top with three interior adjustable shelves, desk ht. 43, wd. 40, dp. 20, bookcase ht. 48 1/2, wd. 41 1/2, dp. 13 3/4 in.

Refinished. Scratches, stains and wear to top. Horizontal shrinkage cracks to slant-front lid. Minor cracks and losses to string inlay on front of slant-front lid. Ink stains to interior writing surface. Baize interior replaced. Prospect door replaced. Hinges and lock appear to be original. Separation at boards in drawer bottoms. Scratches to case sides. Wear, pitting and minor losses to base molding consistent with age. Heavy wear, bruising and abrasions to bracket feet also consistent with age.
