Description:
Two Small Oval Lapped-seam Covered Boxes, 19th century, one possibly Shaker with natural finish and joined with three lapped fingers, the other painted light blue with opposing finger on the cover and side of the box, (imperfections),ht. 2 1/2, 2 5/8, dia. 6, 6 5/8 in., respectively.

Natural finish box- has three small cracks on the bottom of one end, possibly not Shaker because the fingers don't evenly line up, and the tacks a little larger and nailed a little less precise than usual on Shaker boxes.
Blue box- crack on bottom of one end where side is naied to base, two small cracks on either end of cover, paint loss esp. on cover top.
